One guy’s quest for the ‘perfect look’ seems to have pretty seriously backfired after he was admitted to hospital with a ‘rotting nose’.
Brazilian airline steward Rodrigo Alves, who has dedicated his life to transforming himself into a Ken doll through plastic surgery, was admitted to hospital after his new nose started to rot on his face, reports 9News.
The 32-year-old, who suffers from body dysmorphic disorder, has spent over $400,000 (£282,000) on surgery and has admitted he is ‘deeply unhappy’ with his looks.
He is being treated for the condition in Spain, after he noticed a hole appearing on his nose, but according to the Daily Mail, doctors fear Rodrigo’s face is at risk of becoming gangrenous if the necrosis is allowed to spread.
He told the Daily Mail:
I had nose reconstruction three months ago and it appears the new cartilage has been rejected by my body.
A horrible hole has appeared in my nostril and the infection is eating my nose and I’ve been warned if it is not stopped it could eat into my face.
Right ? So! Let's talk about #Natural Natural is the #untouched and #raw and plain form #designed by #nature and #untouched by us humans… Are you natural? Untouched and plain? No!! It is 2016 and nor even the few natives Indians in the Amazon in Brazil who aren't exposed to media or to the Morden society like most of us are nowadays are natural. They wear makeup for example extracted from the plants and Earth at the Amazon ?✊??Digging holes on the middle of the ocean isn't natural either yet without petroleum we can't live, going to the #gym ??to change your body shape and build big muscles ??isn't natural yet at 5:30pm the #rebook gym in #Canarywarf is heaving of sweet bodies ?The cosmetic industry is a fast growing business and nothing is natural or untouched yet most of us buy some form of cosmetics and use it with aim to improve our looks. Having said that… Most of us try to delay the ageing process somehow … I just toke it to a another extreme level You invite it and I master it it. I get criticised for being too #honest ? I just can't be anything else rather then my own person #RodrigoAlves ?✌?️
Necrosis is actually a relatively common hazard of plastic surgery, caused when the blood supply to parts of the body is interrupted.
Alves, who has admitted to being ‘deeply unhappy’ with his looks, has undergone dozens of surgeries over more than a decade at a cost of about $400,000 (£282,000).
We wish him the best for a speedy recovery.
